I dragged my wife to this concert. She isn’t a metal head like I am, but she enjoyed Megadeth. All the openers for them (Megadeth) were nothing like the metal I grew up listening too: Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Anthrax, etc. I’m just shocked at how many people were chanting the lyrics to the songs that you couldn’t understand a freaking word they were saying and the fact that one of them has at least ten albums out? Another has eight? Metal isn’t like it used to be. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy bands like Slipknot, but I can only take so much of the freaking screaming. My wife and I had to endure three painstaking hours just to hear a band I started listening to in my teens. And that was over thirty years ago! At least I finally got to see Megadeth!
